Southerners aren't known for their irony, but they should be. Dismal is a lovely little corner of TN, hidden away in the hills and hollers. It's barely a hamlet, more the name of the watershed than anything. We live up Pumpkin Hollow - also a real name, and equally ironic, since our squash bugs are so fierce I have yet to grow a pumpkin.
